Investors
in Excellence is a new approach to business
improvement. It has been developed by members of the UK Excellence
Federation and was launched by the Wales Quality Centre at
two events in October (pictures
here).
The Investors in Excellence
standard is based on the EFQM Excellence Model. Recognition
to the standard is similar to the IiP process with a commitment
stage followed by diagnosis, delivery of improvement and recognition.
Investors in Excellence is an
ideal introduction to the use of the EFQM Excellence Model,
especially for the smaller organisation. It provides a practical
improvement methodology for businesses wishing to use the
Excellence Model but not yet prepared to enter an awards process
such as the Wales Quality Award.
