What is Investors
in Excellence?
Investors in Excellence is a national recognition programme
based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM)
Excellence Model. It is a rigorous programme that assesses
your current ability and, at the same time, encourages continuous
improvement across the whole organisation.
To achieve Investors in Excellence, organisations must demonstrate
high levels of performance in the following areas:
 |
Enablers
(how you manage the organisation) |
| |
Leadership, strategy, people management,
partnerships, resources and processes |
 |
Results (what is
achieved) |
| |
Employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction,
society results (the role that the organisation plays
in its community) and other business result areas such
as financial performance. |
Investors in Excellence is an ideal introduction to the
EFQM Excellence Model and builds on
initiatives such as Investors in People, ISO 9000 and Charter
Mark. The programme is open
to organisations of all sizes in the private, public and
voluntary sectors.
